The key feature of this range is that any image can be used as the background silhouette, not just the examples shown. If you have a particular design in mind, it can be incorporated into the plaque. Background colours include maroon, dark brown, blue, and light blue with silver, and all silhouette plaques use Helvetica sans-serif lettering for clear readability over the background image.

Choosing the right silhouette plaque
Silhouette plaques are unlike any other design in the collection because the background image can be fully customised. The five designs shown here are samples demonstrating different themes, but any image can be used as the silhouette behind your inscription.
Consider what best represents the person being remembered. The sample designs include an Australia map for a patriotic tribute, a guitar and music notes for a musician, a fisherman for someone who loved the water, a 1950s classic car for a motoring enthusiast, and a large rose for a floral theme. If none of these suit, describe the image you have in mind in your enquiry and Bianca can advise on what is possible.
Background colour varies across the samples: maroon, dark brown, blue, and light blue with silver are shown, and other colours may be available on request. The oval rose silhouette is the only non-rectangular design in this range, presented in a portrait orientation. All silhouette plaques use Helvetica sans-serif lettering for readability over the background image. Can I use my own image as the silhouette background?
Yes, the background silhouette is fully customisable. The five designs shown here are samples, but any image that can be rendered as a silhouette can be used. Describe your preferred image when you send your enquiry, or provide a reference photo, and Bianca will confirm whether it can be incorporated and include it in your quote.
Why do all silhouette plaques use Helvetica lettering?
Silhouette plaques use Helvetica sans-serif lettering because its clean, simple character remains highly readable when placed over a background image. Serif lettering can become harder to read against detailed silhouette patterns. The Helvetica style also gives these plaques a more contemporary feel that complements the graphic background design.
Is there an oval silhouette plaque available?
Yes, one design in this range is an oval rather than rectangular, featuring a large rose silhouette on a light blue and silver background in a portrait orientation.
